Proper Retailing: How to Sell Without Selling

Not everyone is meant to be a salesperson, but if you follow these guidelines below you can master the art to ‘sell without selling’. I’ll show you how to use the art of non-aggressive selling strategies to easily persuade your audience and allow them to look forward to the experience.

How do you achieve this?

  1. Be Knowledgeable

It doesn’t take a scientist to explain the products and treatments that your clinic offers. If you can make the experience useful and genuine in providing expert information on the products and services you are selling they you already have an advantage over the competition.

  1. First Impressions

The first interaction with a customer is key in determining the next interaction. It will affect whether or not they speak to you or avoid you for necessary information. It’s important to always ask what the customer is looking for. Unless you know what they want you will never be able to properly sell to them.

  1. Ask Questions

Once a customer seems interested, then start asking the questions! Are they familiar with the products? Do they have an idea of what they are looking for? What do the want to achieve? What are their goals? The more you learn the more specific your sales approach can be.

  1. Relax and Offer Suggestions

It’s important to note that you can’t help every single person that walks through the door. Notice what each customer wants and needs and ease into the conversation to genuinely offer suggestions to them. You will provide more insight in this approach and tentatively bring in more revenue.

Overall, if you are knowledgeable about the products or services that you are selling and you can identify the customers needs, you will have no problem selling.
