Lindsay Lohan is working hard to overcome her ‘bad girl of Hollywood’ image – perhaps a little too hard.
The actress is only 25 years old, yet when she turned up for her Saturday Night Live TV appearance, her face had all the tell-tale signs of too much dermal filler.
The effect, called ‘pillow face’, has also been seen on Madonna and Kylie recently. It’s caused by too much filler being injected into the face.
Dermal fillers are brilliant at fighting the signs of aging, but must be done cautiously to avoid filling out wrinkles and smoothing fine lines a little too much.
Fillers are also catching up with Botox as the celebrity choice for anti aging. Botox has been frowned upon lately for cause the ‘wind tunnel’ look, when too much is injected. At the height of her fame, Kylie’s face was often called a ‘death’s mask’ for it’s lack of expression.
My top tip for avoiding a ‘death’s mask’ or ‘pillow face’ is to always use a practitioner you know and trust and who urges on the side of caution. If in doubt, use the phrase “less is more”.
