In preparation of hosting this year’s Golden Globes Awards, comedian Ricky Gervais has posed in front of a Los Angeles plastic surgery while holding a fistful of dollars.
In what appears to be a swipe at the stars who are hoping to be snapped looking glam on the red carpet for the event, Gervais then told his 1.4m strong legion of Twitter followers that he was there for some last minute work before his hosting gig.
The 50-year-old said: ‘Some last minute preparation so I don’t look out of place at The Golden Globes.’
The picture might well be Ricky’s first gag of the Globes, which he hosted last year by making fun out of celebrities all night long.
In fact, Ricky caused so much controversy with his gags at last year’s ceremony that most people thought he wouldn’t be asked back to host again.
The Golden Globes are scheduled to be held on 15th January, 2012.
