iGuide neck lift proving to be a popular option

A new take on the neck-lift is proving popular with those seeking anti-ageing cosmetic surgery procedures.

The iGuide neck lift, which uses a ‘permanent thread’ in order to tighten any skin that is showing signs of sagging underneath the jawline – takes less than an hour to carry out.

It promises to minimise the appearance of ageing by elevating and defining the neck and jawline and can be carried out until local anaesthetic – which is a major part of its appeal.

Taimur Shoaib from Scotland-based La Belle Forme cosmetic surgery clinic, told Scotland on Sunday, “It is revolutionary because there is hardly any cutting at all and, therefore, hardly any scarring.

“A typical neck lift would require a general anaesthetic and an overnight stay in hospital, but the iGuide neck lift is a minimally invasive procedure with a quick recovery time,” Dr Shoaib went on to say.

As the traditional neck lifts involve the repositioning of muscles and soft tissue around the neck area, they can result in longer recovery times as the swelling takes a little while to go down.

However, with the less invasive iGuide neck lift, there is less chance of swelling, bruising and scarring. Those cosmetic surgeons who are already carrying out the procedure are reporting a surge in popularity thanks to its ease and flexibility, and claim that the results gained are ‘comparable’ to the traditional neck lift procedures.

One satisfied customer is accountant Karen Stevenson, from Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire, who told the newspaper, “With the iGuide, I only took two days off work. Afterwards I was a lot better than I expected – I felt great. I am pleased with how it looks so far,” Ms Stevenson added.
