BACN Scoop Aesthetic Award

Set up barely two years ago, the BACN provides inspiration, support and guidance for aesthetic nurses throughout the country. Nurses administer 70{19761799e1353b7a6a49a5f02d3172230495afcde52b198895f8f3ba7ac759cb} of all anti-ageing injectable treatments in the UK and it is estimated that there are some 4,000 of them working in the aesthetics field. The BACN has already enlisted 350 members – all of whom are registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Councl (NMC) and as professionals offering non-surgical treatments, are accountable to the ethical standards of that organisation.

Several delighted members of the BACN Board received the award at a ceremony attended by 260 people from across the aesthetics industry. It was presented on behalf of the monthly trade magazine Cosmetic News by Stephen Handisides of the website, MyFaceMyBody.com

Emma Davies, Chair of the BACN, commented:

“We are all absolutely thrilled!

“In the past two years, with the enthusiasm of our membership and generous support of our sponsors, the BACN has been able to respond to the needs of its members with tailored workshops, meetings, bursaries to support nurses undertaking the V300 to become Independent Prescribers and peer group support, which is invaluable.

“It is now more important than ever that nurses come together.  As an association with significant numbers we have a stronger voice to represent nurses wherever governing policy is being determined – and the Cosmetic News award will help to strengthen our position.”
