Breast enlargements sizes on the increase

Breast enlargements are becoming bigger and bigger, according to one cosmetic surgeon's recent observations.

Douglas McGeorge, a top plastic surgeon, explained to the Sun newspaper that women are being heavily influenced by celebrity trends at the moment.

“There is the Jordan Syndrome, where some women want bigger and bigger breasts,” he stated, adding that people were starting to “push the envelope” in terms of acceptable size.

Indeed, there is always a minor risk with all cosmetic surgery that something could go wrong, but by opting for super-sized breast implants women are increasing this chance. One way of handling the issue is to ensure that you have a consultation with a reputable cosmetic surgeon you can trust.

Jordan, now known by her real name Katie Price, is one of the main ambassadors for large breast augmentations. She has undergone at least three operations, increasing her bust to 32FF at its largest. However, this has since been reduced to a more manageable 32D, according to the paper.

But a new group of celebrities, such as Amy Childs from The Only Way is Essex, are also promoting the look. The public's desperation to emulate the appearance of their favourite celebrities has prompted some to look to cheaper options overseas.

Mr McGeorge was quick to condemn the cheap 'boob-job holiday packages' on offer, noting that they are a very risky option as far as a woman's health is concerned.

He observed: “Some people have no idea who is treating them or the standards of the hospital equipment. Some implants are prone to failure. The cheap option is not always the best.”
