Consumer Concern Over Anti Ageing Creams

Skin tighteningA survey by Canadian, a data and information service, has found scepticism amongst consumers over high street anti ageing products. Less than a third of those people surveyed who said they are worried about skin ageing have adopted a regular anti-ageing skincare routine.

Stephen Handisides, health, beauty and cosmetic surgery expert, believes this shows that shoppers have failed to connect with the big beauty brands: “I think the data reveals that consumers either fail to believe the claims of the products, which have become wildly overstated over recent years, or that manufacturers have got their price point wrong.”

In the survey 33{19761799e1353b7a6a49a5f02d3172230495afcde52b198895f8f3ba7ac759cb} of consumers admit that they are worried about ageing, with respondents across all age groups aged 25 and over expressing similar levels of concern. Moreover, 20{19761799e1353b7a6a49a5f02d3172230495afcde52b198895f8f3ba7ac759cb} say that they are concerned about their skin showing signs of ageing, such as fine lines and age spots. However, less than a third of those who are worried about skin ageing have adopted a regular anti-ageing skincare routine.
