Allergan, the maker of popular anti-wrinkle injection Botox, posts record sales in 2012.
Botox – the drug which erases wrinkles and ‘freezes’ the face – is drug maker Allergan’s top seller with record sales of $5.8 billion in 2012.
The trend is set to continue, as predictions for sales in 2013 ranging from $5.9 billion to $6.2 billion. Allergan’s stock hit an all-time high of $109.31 on Feb. 19.
The success is even more remarkable in light of the new anti wrinkle treatments which have hit the market recently. It seems that despite competition from treatments such as dermal fillers, Botox remains the number one choice of consumers looking to turn back time.
