A Perthshire dentist has been named the best in Scotland.
Dr Elaine Halley, of Cherrybank Dental Spa in Perth and Edinburgh, was presented with the ‘outstanding individual’ award at the glittering inaugural Dentistry Scotland Awards ceremony at Gleneagles Hotel.
Dr Halley, who started the multi-award-winning Glasgow Road dental surgery in 1995 at the age of 26, has proved a tour de force within the world of dentistry.
She has pioneered new and innovative techniques, championed professional standards and encouraged and nurtured promising talent while making her own practice among the best and most admired in Scotland.
Dr Halley’s new Edinburgh practice also collected highly commended awards for best new practice and most attractive practice.
“Opening a brand new practice dedicated to providing first-class patient care, in this economic climate, has not been without its challenges,” she admitted.
“But my team has stuck in and worked hard and it is terrific for this to be recognised.”
