Has Supermodel Cindy taken to cheek fillers?

Supermodel Cindy Crawford has made no secret in the past of her use of a little cosmetic enhancement to maintain her career-making good looks, but her appearance at a recent basketball game has set tongues wagging that she may be making more frequent visits to her dermatologist.

The iconic 45-year-old model was seen at attended a basketball game in Los Angeles with hotelier husband, Rande Gerber, this week looking suspiciously like she had indulged in some cheek fillers, to giver her face a youthful lift.

Crawford has said in the past that she swears by Botox, vitamin injections and collagen to ease the ageing process, but this is the first time that any potential use of cheek fillers has become apparent.

Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, cosmetic surgeon, Nick Percival of Cosmetic Surgery Partners, said that her appearance did show the signs of fillers and Botox use, but that she had been careful not to overuse the artificial means of preserving her looks.

"She has very well-defined cheekbones which could suggested she has had some injectables to highlight these," Percival said. "And there appear to be no lines between her eyebrows which could suggest she has had Botox in this area. But she has not had Botox around the eyes, as her eyebrows now actually appear lower and we can see a skin excess under her lower eyelids."

Cheek fillers work to lift a person's face back into the youthful triangle formation it would have had in younger days. Rather than pulling the skin back to eradicate wrinkles, like the traditional facelift methods, the fillers plump the skin of the face up itself to fill out the lines and make the skin more taut.
