Nancy Dell’Olio sings praises of botox

Strictly Come Dancing star Nancy Dell'Olio has revealed that she has never looked or felt better than she does now – and it's all thanks to exercise and botox treatments.

Italian native Dell'Olio, who dropped a dress size during the recent season of the reality dancing show, told The Sun newspaper that she is enjoying a new-found confidence that she wished she had had in her younger days.

“I didn't look like this in my 30s, there's always an improvement with age. We must always do little things to take care of ourselves which prevent doing major work later on, like facials and even a little Botox when you need it.

“It's something you can do without going too major and you still look like yourself. There's nothing wrong with Botox, as long as you have the right doctor and the right measurement. Twice a year is perfect,” she added.

Dell'Olio first hit the headlines for being the long-suffering partner of former England football manager Sven-Goran Eriksson for a decade, before the pair split. She takes great pride in her appearance and has a penchant for designer labels, she admitted to the news provider.

Sadly, she once had to have cosmetic surgery for reconstructive reasons, and remains in awe of what surgeons can do. Aged just 21, she was hit by a car outside her home which flung her almost 60 feet.

Following the accident, she spent six months in hospital, during which time she had extensive reconstructive surgery carried out on her face by cosmetic surgeons.

Dell'Olio also went on to say that she was not averse to further cosmetic surgery procedures for aesthetic reasons if she felt she needed them as she grew older, saying that she 'supported cosmetic surgery at any age if it means a woman will feel happier and more confident.'

“Any procedure has to suit your personality — and everything in moderation,” she went on to say.
