Girls Aloud star says dental veneers gave her confidence

Girls Aloud star-turned solo artist, Nicola Roberts, has spoken out to silence her critics after spending £13,000 on a cosmetic dentistry treatment.

Photographs of the glamorous redhead’s new veneers started emerging in June this year. They were a vast improvement on her previously crooked teeth. However, some critics were questioning why she would spend her cash on the dentistry.

Ms Roberts stated that she saw the dentistry as a great way to improve her confidence and that it has done just that. She explained that the dentistry she received as a child left her with bad teeth and little confidence in her smile.

She told The Review magazine: “It was a dental appointment. I'm from a place where dentists get paid to rip kids' teeth out. NHS dentistry in the 1990s, my good God."

“I always just wanted a nice smile, and I was very conscious of it all the time, and I'm happy. So I did, f**k it, everyone gets it done,” she added.

Nicole has suffered from low self-esteem in the past as a result of her red hair and fair skin. However, she has since grown to love her natural look and even has her own range of make-up specifically for all the pale and proud girls out there.
