Questions & Answers

What are dermal fillers?

Facial Fillers can be divided into dermal and volumiser fillers.  Dermal fillers are the original type fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm that create volume passively, and Volumisers are fillers that create volume and lift by active collagen stimulation. Soft tissue augmentation continues to be one of the most popular procedures performed by doctors today.  Fillers offer a safe and convenient method of rejuvenating the aging face.  Fillers can provide outstanding immediate cosmetic results without the downtime associated with traditional surgical procedures and are used to improve the appearance of fine lines, enhance the fullness of the lips and for facial contouring.  The procedure itself usually takes 30 minutes and once completed you will be given some aftercare instructions and asked to return in two weeks for an aesthetic review.
