The staff have been personally selected by Dr Beatriz Molina, the founder of Medikas, who says she can easily see whether potential employees have a natural ability to show an understanding and warmth towards clients.

Greeting clients in a courteous, warm manner is vital to ensure clients feel welcomed and relaxed.  For many, walking through the doors of Medikas, is taking their first steps to a life-changing experience.  The confidence clients gain from the results of their treatments is often immeasurable, and hence their time at Medikas is very special and often a poignant time to them.

Decorated in chic black and white and with beautifully placed paintings and flower arrangements, creates a relaxing ambience to compliment the caring nature of the staff.

Once the clients are offered beverages and made comfortable, the staff discuss the individual needs of their clients, giving them the opportunity to demonstrate their expertise in their chosen field of cosmetic treatments.  This enables the clients to form a trusting relationship with the staff and allows them to develop a confidence before their treatment commences.

Beatriz keeps abreast of new procedures available and undergoes thorough training to ensure she is able to perform all treatments to an exceptionally high standard.  This training ethos is replicated throughout the Medikas team – from performing cosmetic and clinical treatments to customer care skills.  Medikas makes it a priority to perform annual staff appraisals during which time training needs will be identified.

To ensure customer care is continually improved, Medikas has a Customer Care Policy.  The policy was written following consultation with all members of the team, thus ensuring ownership by all involved at Medikas.  In addition to the courteous, helpful and friendly customer care services offered to clients whilst in the clinic, the policy sets the standards for telephone handling, dealing with all forms of correspondence and details of the clinics complaints procedure.

Medikas deals with all client information very seriously and all information obtained is dealt with sensitively.  Confidentiality is maintained at all times and any information held on Medikas computer systems will be accurate, up to date and kept secure.  All staff contracts include a clause for client confidentiality and any breach of confidentiality will result in disciplinary action.

Medikas has a positive approach to equal opportunities so all clients will be treated to the standards outlined in the Customer Care Policy.

Medikas openly encourages feedback from their clients and have introduced a Clients Comment Diary.  Medikas is proud to say, that all feedback received to date has been very positive.

Team meetings are held regularly at Medikas to maintain and improve service levels, communications and to act upon client feedback.

Medikas is committed to improving their customer care and will continue to monitor and review their standards.  This will ensure clients receive the highest level of customer care that reflects the exceptionally high quality of clinical, cosmetic and spa treatments offered by Medikas.

Bridge2Aid

More than 70% of the world's population have no access to the simplest of dental pain relief, leaving billions to face a daily battle with pain in the toughest of life circumstances.

Bridge2Aid was founded as a response to this terrifying problem, by providing access to dental pain relief and to help the millions of people suffering in the developing world. Focussing on sustainability, and with the help of dentists and nurses from the UK, they train more than 48 health workers each year with plans for expansion. Because of this work, an estimated 1.7 million people now live within reach of someone who can help them when they have dental pain.

Bridge2Aid sends around 120 volunteer dentists and nurses from the UK out to East Africa to help train local health workers in basic extraction techniques. This is an area where people have no access to pain relief, leaving millions in pain, and often it lasts years - leaving people unable to work and feed their families.

There are Clinical Officers in place who look after around 20,000 people and dress wounds, deliver babies etc but they don't have any dental training - so this is where we come in! They have 1 week theory and then spend 2 weeks of intensive hands-on training time with our volunteers. If they "pass" the programme, they are given all the equipment they will need to care for their own communities.
