Your experience begins when you are introduced to your very own therapist who will explain how the skin assessment works and the benefits of using the VISIA® imaging system.
This multi-spectral imaging and analysis takes a total of 6 minutes in respect to the left, front and right side of the face – that’s 24 different analyses which your therapist then reviews with you to establish what treatment protocol will best work for you.
We use Standard, Cross-Polarized and UV photography to record and measure your surface and subsurface skin condition. Why – because we want to have a quantitative assessment of your skin features in respect to Spots (pigmentation), Wrinkles, Texture, Enlarged Pores, UV spots (Photodamage), Brown spots (Melanin), Red areas (Haemoglobin) and Porphyrins (P-acnea).
Using the World’s largest skin features database we will also use the skin assessment to compare you with your peer group – people with the same chronological age, gender and skin type.
VISIA® also detects and analyzes skin conditions that can be treated using lasers and other light-based therapies, microdermabraision, chemical peels, cosmeceuticals, and injectables such as Botulinum toxin and dermal fillers.
Your therapist will then go on to explain the different treatments available and which ones would be most suitable for your skin.
They will design a customised and effective skin management programme for you and be able to monitor your progress using future skin assessments to compare results.
