Acne Healing System
DCL’s clinically proven Acne Healing System is a multi-active therapy developed to help treat acne by ensuring proper cleansing, hydration and calming of the skin in acne patients, on its own, or as a complement to prescription, in cases of more severe acne.The fourpiece, patent-pending system was designed to be gentle and easy to use for all patients with varying facial skin types that struggle with acne.
Patients with Fitzpatrick skin types II-VI ranging in ages from 13-38 participated in a clinical study conducted by Nita Patel, MD to determine the efficacy in the reduction of active acne while using the Acne Healing System. 93% of the subjects reported overall improvement within 30 days. Dr. Patel tested subjects with moderate acne over a period of 60 days. After only 14 days, 78% of the patients noticed moderate to excellent reduction in new lesions.
The Acne Healing System is composed of four products that are also available separately for use with existing regimens or prescription treatments.
Active Cleanser, containing lactic acid and papain for gentle exfoliation and 2% salicylic acid to kill acne bacteria and remove pore-clogging debris. Soothes and calms aggravated lesions without dehydrating the skin. Perfect for use in conjunction with Rx acne treatments.
Clearing Hydrator, a morning treatment containing 1% salicylic acid along with hyaluronic and amino acids. Infused with triple seaweed concentrate, this super hydrator helps repair the damaged skin without clogging pores.
Nighttime Treatment, with multivitamins and soothing botanicals, helps fight acne with 2% salicylic acid while nourishing and hydrating the skin at night.
Spot Therapy is a concentrated, targeted dose of 2% salicylic acid and lactic acid that helps lift off excessive pore-clogging cellular debris. Willowherb extract, a proven anti-inflammatory, helps reduce irritation surrounding the pustules and helps to prevent postinflammatory hyperpigmentation.
