Before Procedure

Before undergoing laser lipolysis treatment you will need to book a consultation with a qualified doctor or surgeon. As laser liploysis is a minor surgical procedure it can be performed by a cosmetic doctor, unlike liposuction, which can only be performed by a cosmetic or plastic surgeon. You will need to check that the clinic you have your treatment at is registered to carry out the procedure with the Healthcare Commission. They will have a certificate if they have passed their inspection and this will mean the clinic has suitable facilities to perform the treatment. During your consultation it is a good idea to ask to see before and after pictures of the doctor or surgeon’s work to give you an idea of the kind of results that can be achieved. You will also be asked to sign a consent form to say you fully understand the risks and benefits involved in having the treatment.
