During treatment

Before you decide whether or not to undergo cell therapy, you will need to book a consultation with a qualified practitioner who can talk you through the pros and cons of the treatment and go through your medical history to make sure there are no reasons that you should not undergo treatment. You will also be asked to sign a consent form to say that you understand all the risks and complications involved. Make sure you read this, as well as any associated material given to you by your practitioner, very carefully. How your treatment is done will depend on the type of cell therapy you are undergoing.

ReCell

With ReCell treatment you will first need to have a biopsy taken from near the treatment area. You will be given a local anaesthetic while this is done but it should be quick and painless. You will then undergo a treatment such as dermabrasion or laser skin resurfacing to prepare your skin. By removing the top layer of skin and exposing new skin the treatment gets better results. The practitioner then uses a specially designed kit to separate the cells and creates solution, which can be sprayed onto the face, hands or whichever area is being treated. You should not need to undergo repeat procedures with this treatment.

Vavelta

As Valveta uses donor cells there is no need for a biopsy. The cells are injected directly into the treatment are using a fine needle. You may be given a local anaesthetic to minimise discomfort during the procedure. You will begin to see gradual improvements in the treatment area over the following weeks although it can take a couple of months to see the final result. You may need repeat procedures with this technique to achieve lasting results.

MyCells

The treatment starts with your physician taking between 10 to 20 milliliters of your blood, using a standard procedure like a blood test. The blood is then separated so that the physician can harvest the Platelet Rich Plasma. This takes 10-20 minutes. The physician will then give you a series of injections, just under the skin. The treatment can improve skin thickness and quality. Results typically last between 1-1
