Find a Botox® Practitioner

Finding the right Botox® practitioner is important if you want to make sure you get the best result. If you have had any trouble trying to track down a practitioner who offers Botox® injections there may be a good reason. Because botulinum toxin brands are classified as prescription medicines they cannot be advertised to the general public. As a result you may find them described as ‘wrinkle relaxing treatments’. There are not many clinics offering dermal fillers and other non-surgical treatments that do not do Botox®.

Another word of caution. Because botulinum toxin is a prescription only medicine it should only be injected by a doctor or dentist. Nurses can inject but, unless they are a qualified nurse prescriber, you will also need to have a consultation with the doctor/dentist who is prescribing the treatment. Beauty therapists and hairdressers cannot inject Botox® so make sure you check the practitioners qualifications before you take the plunge.
