“Launch Of Neal’s Yard Remedies Summer Workshops For Children”
Education is at the heart of Neal’s Yard Remedies and we’ve been running courses in natural medicine for over 10 years. We’re delighted to announce that this summer we’ll be reaching out to a new audience with our new ‘Make Your Own Lotions & Potions Workshop’, an engaging and creative summer holiday course for children aged between 8 and 12.
The 2-hour workshops will teach children about natural bath and body care as well as providing them with an introduction to the science behind plant ingredients. Based on our sell-out Recipes for Natural Beauty course, we distil our expertise in plant chemistry and the principles of natural skincare to illustrate the ease with which simple remedies can be made in the home.
The workshop consists of an introduction to the most important medicinal plants and natural ingredients used for skincare, then applies basic chemistry skills to demonstrate how to make simple yet effective products.
We’ll put our knowledge into action with a fun making session to create:
• Fizzing bath bombs perfumed and coloured using natural ingredients
• Natural perfume infused with pure plant oils
• Natural soaps as developed by Dr Sara
• Body lotions perfumed with the children’s own fragrance blends
• We will finish the day making face packs from natural fresh fruit
