Men taking it to the ‘Max’?
For years men have shied away from the Speedo look but it seems that the skimpy beach garments have suddenly re-appeared on the fashion scene. However this time round, the speedos have been coupled with the ‘max’. Image-conscious men are no longer stopping at the ‘back, sack and crack’, but instead are opting for the all-over man-wax or ‘max’.
According to swimwear manufacturer Kiniki, there is a growing demand for swimwear that shows off a ‘maxed’ body to the full.
“There was a time when men got squeamish about getting a ‘sack, back and crack’ done”, says John Walker of Kiniki.
“Nowadays it looks like even the most macho of men is taking a no-holds-barred approach to the body beautiful.
“We’ve had a number of enquiries from men who have been ‘maxed’ and are looking for the best briefs to show their bodies off in.
“Celebrities such as Jay Rayner have already put the ‘max’ to the test and with even mainstream beauticians offering the service, trimming down for the beach seems to be increasingly encouraged for men as much as for women,” says Walker.
Despite the increase in men wearing Speedos, and enduring the ‘max’, Alton Towers have just banned tight trunks with concerns that they are unsuitable for children.
Once men realise the extent of the grueling waxing regimes their female counterparts have put themselves through for years, I wonder if they will be keen to follow suit? I’m sure women will be delighted to see them try, or at least trim!

I would LOVE to see them try and experience just a little bit of the pain that we endure from waxing!
